You will be joining a renowned mechanical HVAC contractor with expertise in Ventilation and Smoke & Fire Safety. With over 150 years of experience, they have successfully delivered complex and iconic projects across various sectors, including Energy & Decommissioning, Defence, Transport, Residential, and Commercial.

The People You’ll Be Working With:

You’ll collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to excellence in Design, Engineering (including Digital & BIM), Procurement & Manufacture, Installation, and Testing & Commissioning. The work environment encourages collaboration, learning, and development.

What You’ll Be Asked to Achieve:

As a Quantity Surveyor, your primary responsibility will be the day-to-day management of commercial and surveying aspects for new-build/install, refurbishment, and design and build/install projects.

In Order to Fulfill This, You Will Be Required To:

  • Manage, monitor, and report on all commercial aspects of projects.
  • Attend handover meetings to receive projects from estimating/sales departments.
  • Produce and take off Bill of Quants (BoQ).
  • Generate cost control documents using information from final agreed contract pricing documents.
  • Identify areas of risk/scope and develop/monitor with the project team.
  • Produce valuations/applications/claims in line with contract requirements.
  • Identify and secure reimbursement of variations to the contracted scope of works.
  • Maintain positive cash flow and maximize profitability on projects.

This Role Would Suit Someone With:

  • A qualification in Quantity Surveying or a construction-related subject.
  • Post-qualification construction experience with an established sub-contractor or main contractor.
  • A track record on commercial projects under varying forms of main contract/subcontract.
  • Experience in package negotiation.
  • Chartered Membership of RICS or CIOB (although not essential).
